"The Outlier"

What started off as a dream where Ace had water powers has become the crossover I never expected... it features Ace from "The Tale of Ace Gallagher" in the world of "Westfall" (ironically both of which are in progress because I can't seem to stay on one for very long), but you don't need to know any background to read it.

I first wrote The Outlier in September of 2020, before I really knew what was happening with Gemini and "Westfall." In April of 2025 I tweaked it to better fit within the universe. So it could have technically happened concurrently with "Westfall." But, Ace is not technically part of this universe... so it's just a big ol' "what if."

The story is a bit darker than others I've written, with hopelessness, fear, and death prevalent, and is suitable for a more mature audience. But if there's any point it gets across, is that there's always hope.
